  • Can I try a class before signing up?

    Everyone has 10 days to access all live and recorded classes free of charge. Sign up for the monthly membership to access the ten days of free classes. If you'd like to keep the membership, no action is required. Otherwise it is easy to cancel your membership before the ten days are up.

    Much of the delight of the Mama Baby classes is our gathering and community. When we are live-streaming we have time before check in, to 'see' one another, and if issues or questions come up during the class, they can be communicated in real-time.

  • How exactly would I cancel my subscription if and when needed?

    You can stop your monthly membership anytime. Sign in on the top bar of this page, click 'My Account,' then click 'Billing,' under Subscriptions simply press the Cancel box. This will stop future billings. (You will have access to the classes until the end of the monthly period for which you have already paid.)

  • As a mother of a new baby, which classes in this monthly membership can I access?

    Your monthly subscription gives you complete, unlimited access to all live-streaming and recorded MamaBe Baby classes - including the Mama & Baby Yoga classes, the Circle of Friends gatherings, and all supporting material. You will also have unlimited access to the iRest Yoga Nidra recorded meditations (each one is said to be equal to 3 hours of sleep!), and (when your body feels ready) the Mindful Yoga and Meditation practices.

  • How soon after delivery can I start the MamaBe Baby classes?

    You can join the practices anytime for discussion and community, however for the movement portion it is important to wait until a minimum of 6 weeks after vaginal delivery, or 8-10 weeks after a belly birth - or as soon as you get the green light from your doctor or midwife.

    In these initial weeks (and beyond), it is very advantageous to access the guided meditations available to you, particularly the iRest Yoga Nidra meditations as they have such a direct capacity to provide deep rest and support integration of your birthing experience and the transition you are living. You can continue in the MamaBe classes for as long as it works for you and your little one!

  • I would like to make connections with other Mamas, will these classes give me this opportunity?

    Yes. It is SO helpful to share in the company of other pregnant women and to make new friends with other women who are on this journey with you. Each week Mamas and babies come together live-stream, to share, to move and nourish, and to make new friends. There is time before and after each Yoga class to check in, to share, and to build our community. Finally, there is a monthly Q&A for pregnant and new moms which includes the opportunity to not only ask practice-related questions but to reach out to the community of women to share questions, ideas and resources.

  • Can Clearlight see myself and my baby while I am practicing during the live-streaming classes?

    This is up to you. You can set your video to 'on', in which case Clearlight will be able to see you while she is teaching. She may offer feedback if she has helpful comments to keep movements safe and effective. You can also set your video to 'off' should you choose to join the live practice but not be visible. Either choice is perfect, and this may change throughout any given practice.

  • I have weakness in my pelvic floor and abdominal diastasis... can I safely participate?

    It is important to let Clearlight know if you have health considerations (you can do so confidentially by email before class). She also assumes that there will be Mamas present with these common health conditions, so she is always leading with this in mind. Movements are meant to strengthen the pelvic floor and minimize unhelpful stressors to this area of the body. Abdominal and core strengthening work is offered in stages. If there is an exercise offered that requires there be no diastasis present, Clearlight will state this at the outset and provide alternatives.

  • I have other children who are here at home, is it okay if they are present?

    Absolutely! Older children are more than welcome to be present... and if you have a dog or cat you'll likely find they'll want to be part of the fun too!
